During 20 years of our existence we have hosted over 500 thousands of guests, rented almost 350 thousands of rooms and organized more than 1000 exceptional weddings.

The Art Hotel is situated in the dense urban development and consists of two buildings. The current form of the hotel is a result of an extensive renovation and reconstruction of historical ruins, carried out at the beginning of the 90s of the 20th century.
Respect for the surroundings

Reconstruction and adaptation of the building to the hotel needs required special care to keep the historical nature of the place and make it fit into the surroundings. The ceilings and roof have been replaced and a large staircase has been built.

Our conversion draft has been awarded with the recognition of people and the 1st class prize of the Minister of Interior and Administration for the outstanding achievements in the field of architecture, building, geodesy and cartography due to “the adaptation of facilities combined with a comprehensive modernisation of the hotel".

This city has always been a mecca of history – a melting-pot of nations and cultures from whole of the world.

In the 19th century Wroclaw as the capital of Silesia became the centre of culture and academic research in the region. With the development of railways, roads and inland waterway transport it has grown also to the role of an economic city.
{
Until 1944 Wroclaw remained outside the direct warfare actions. However, the east front was closer and closer with every single day. The Wroclaw Fortress had been closed. These were difficult times for the city. Sieged by the Red Army, Wroclaw fell on 6 May 1945.
{
The war has left its much visible and distinctive mark on Wroclaw, because both material and those purely social destructions were immense. Only at the end of the 50s the city began returning to its former potential. At the turn of the 60s and 70s Wroclaw became an important centre of cultural life. This is the home of the "Wratislavia Cantans" Festival and theatre groups run by Henryk Tomaszewski and Jerzy Grotowski.

Exactly on 12 July 1997 the culmination wave on the Oder River arrived to Wroclaw. Floodwater rose also in the Oława and Nysa Klodzka rivers. Almost 40% of the city was under water. The heroic efforts of local inhabitants in their fight against the deadly element have been immortalized in form of a monument called Powodzianka (Flood Girl) located at the university bridges

Wroclaw is not without a reason referred to as the meeting place. Here great cultural and sports events are held, for which even a modern infrastructure has been built. The Narodowe Forum Muzyki (National Forum of Music), Wrocławskie Centrum Kongresowe – Hala Stulecia (Wrocław Congress Centre – Centennial Hall) and Stadion Miejski (Municipal Stadium) are just some of the major investment in recent years.

Unique collection of paintings

Around the word in 77 days - a journey like a dream, where the main hero was Ferdinand Deseire, now immortalised in the paintings of the Wroclaw artist Janusz Klekot. Today this extraordinary art is proudly presented on the walls of the Art Hotel.

The Art Hotel is art and bears the name not without a reason. The visual artist Joanna Słocińska-Głód takes care of our stylish decorations, flowers and details which are perfection made flesh. The decor and surroundings of the hotel are aesthetically consistent and show quite visibly on the city map.
Wroclaw - the city of artists

The capital of Lower Silesia can boast of connections to many significant artists who have shaped the polish culture as it is today. Among them there is Bozena Grzyb-Jarodzka, a painter, graphic artist, interior designer, from birth associated with Wrocław, being an important figure of the local artistic community.

A theatre play in the hotel room? Why not? The Ad Spectatores Group invites viewers to the Art Hotel which shall become a stage for the play titled “Psychosis”.

The Art Hotel is decorated with works of well-known and respected Wroclaw artists, carefully selected in order to create the spirit of this place and remind us all about the strong connections between various artists and the hotel itself. One of these artists is Renata Micherda-Jarodzka.

Urszula Wilk is an author of more than 30 paintings presented on the walls of the Art Hotel. Graduated from the Wroclaw Academy of Art and Design, she is now a valued and repeatedly distinguished scholarship holder of many prestigious awards and artistic projects both in Poland and abroad.

The masterpieces presented in the SARP hall have been created by the Wroclaw artist Anna Szpakowska - Kujawska - associated with the city both in the family and emotional way. The architectural environment all around gives her inspiration to comment the world around her in her own special manner.
