When in the first half of the 18th century the most popular card games in Wrocław were trappola, lombr and toccatille, in gardens on the city suburbs people started playing dominoes which in the next century gained the name of a lady game.
Its motive became a nice inspiration for confectionery compositions, and restaurateurs knowing their own worth as well as café owners always served domino stones in two colours.
